Praying Mantis

I was at an Elderhostel for for Photography in Jekyl Isalnd. GA.

We got up at 5:30 am the second day to go to Driftwood Beach. I took a color images and converted it to B&W using mode and grayscale in Photoshop Elements 4. I then went into Brightness and Shadow under Lighting and did some saturation.

I'm going to try your layer method to see if it can do better to produce a better black and white image.

Nice photo Mort! Perfect subject matter for the black and white treatment.

It will be interesting to see if you can extract a better black and white photo by using a different method of post-processing.

It will be nice to see the outcome if you do!
