Warm Depth

by Amanda Tatro
(Olive Branch, MS)

This picture was shot right after a storm came through my home town. I loved the color of the sky and the reflection on the train tracks. I used a Nikon D70 with my 18-55 VR lens.

I really like this picture. It has a wonderfully dramatic sky, but what I like the most is the terrific lead in lines of the railway line.

Not just that the lines are there, but also that they reflect the sky.

And then there is the silhouette of the trees, really frames the picture nicely.

Thanks for the submission Amanda, and I hope it was a quiet train line - wouldn't want anyone to be putting their life in danger for the sake of a nice photo!

Darrell.
