No polar bear dippers in sight
We used to ring in the New Year with a dip at Elk Lake in Victoria, BC, Canada.
We moved to Trenton, Ontario in 2010 and we haven't had a chance to go do our tradition. The nearest polar bear dip event was about 2 hours away from us.
This year though, we just drove around a bit and found ourselves at my favourite roadside swamp. With the snow cover, it was deserted save for a few crows flying above. And no, there was definitely no one doing the dip there either.
