Olympus 1-MP something
by Sheri
(Ohio)
I got my first digital camera on the occasion of the birth of my last of 12 children in 2000. I loved being able to take pictures of my new baby and have them ready instantly to print and share, and to post on my website.
My next digicam was an Olympus D-100, a 1.3 MP camera for its small size and ease of taking anywhere. This camera was very similar to my first camera except for size. They both used Smart Media cards rather than SD cards.
After this I had an Olympus C-725 ultra zoom (3 MP, 8X optical zoom) to photograph my sons playing football.
I have been using a Panasonic Lumix DMC LZ2 5 MP 6X optical zoom with image stabilzation for the past two years for everyday shots.
Some every day pictures I've taken with my BlackBerry Curve simply because it was with me.
My new FujiFilm FinePix S2000HD is due to arrive tomorrow. I plan to use this camera to learn to improve my photography and get a little more serious about taking good photos.
Of course I will most likely blog pictures daily with it for a while simply because of the novelty of a brand new camera to play with.
We don't normally allow links to contributors websites, but we'll make an exception in Sheri's case.
You can see some of her photos here.
Thanks for the post. We didn't know what Sheri's first ever digital camera was, but have added an image of her second digital here instead.
Darrell.
