October Gold

by Marci Biggs
(Cincinnati, OH)

My husband and I took a trip to the Ohio Renaissance Festival and I was the big dork carrying my camera (Pentax Optio S5Z) everywhere.

I got a few good shots, but this one was my favorite. It was kind of average until I used the cross process feature, and then I burned the corners.

Still, I'm not sure what it's missing, but somehow I feel like it's just not quite right...

Personally, I like it a lot. I wouldn't say there was anything not quite right about this shot, but there is always more than one way to skin a cat!

Another photo could have been looking from the ground up (lying on your back under the tree), or focussing in on one leaf and having more of the leaves blurred into the background.

Just some ideas for the future!

Thanks for the submission Marci,

Darrell.
