You're right about the advantages of digital over film.
I held back for years before buying a digital camera. When there were only compact digital cameras I just didn't see the point (I've always owned SLRs).
I tried the first Canon digital SLR at my camera club. Someone spent a fortune on it, and we all had a play. Couldn't see the attraction.
It was so slow to use (starting it up took absolutely ages). But times change.
I too moved from film to digital with the D50. I gave one a go in my local camera shop and was so impressed I bought it (I had been looking for a new camera, this was no spur of the moment thing).
Anyway, like you, I have been extremely impressed. I just don't know what to do with my film SLR. They're worth nothing at the moment, but I suspect in a few years the prices might go up a bit as there'll be fewer and fewer left.
